The Lower Selway River, part of the Wild and Scenic River System, offers a more gentle and accessible way to experience one of Idaho’s most iconic waterways. Unlike the remote upper section, the lower Selway is perfect for scenic float trips where you can drift through lush cedar forests, watch for wildlife like eagles, osprey, deer, and even the occasional black bear, and enjoy the unspoiled beauty of the Selway–Bitterroot Wilderness.

We provide scenic float trips, tube and sit-on-top kayak rentals, as well as guided fishing trips targeting cutthroat trout in crystal-clear waters. Whether you’re looking for a peaceful day on the river, a fun family float, or a relaxing afternoon with a fishing rod in hand, the Lower Selway is an unforgettable Idaho river experience.

SCENIC FLOAT Trip

Trip Details

  • Price: $149 per person (*must have or charter 4 seats)

  • Duration: ~4–5 hours on the river

  • Meet: 8:00 - 9:00 AM PST — Three Rivers Resort, Lowell, ID

  • Return: ~2–3 PM PST — back at the resort

What’s Included

  • River gear: helmet, PFD

  • Snacks and beverages for on the boat

  • Transportation from the resort ⇄ river

  • Sit-on-top kayaks - ask ahead of time if interested

Guides

  • Experienced, local guides

  • CPR/1st aid certified

GUIDED FISHING Trip

Trip Details

  • Price: $500 per boat (each boat holds 2 fishermen)

  • Duration: ~7-8 hours on the river

  • Meet: 8:00 - 9:00 AM PST — Three Rivers Resort, Lowell, ID

  • Return: ~4:00 - 5:00 PM PST — back at the resort

  • River gear: PFD

  • Fishing gear: anything you need

  • 2 swivel seats with standing platforms & casting bars

  • Gourmet riverside lunch, prepared in house

  • Transportation from the resort ⇄ river

  • Price: $35 / tube and $75 / sit-on-top kayak (*must have a minimum of 2 people to book - buddy system for safety)

  • Enjoy the river at your own pace! Our rental trips are custom-built around your group, letting you float, relax, and take in the scenery on your own schedule.

  • Duration: Flexible — we tailor each trip to your group’s pace

  • Meeting Point: 9:00 AM PST — Three Rivers Resort, Lowell, ID

What’s Included

  • All river gear: top-of-the-line AIRE Rocktabomb tube, Perception sit-on-top kayaks,  helmet, PFD, paddle, etc.

  • Safety instructional demonstration

  • Shuttle to put-in and assistance loading gear at take-out

  • Optional gear available on request: river shoes, soft cooler, dry bag, etc.
